The client buys a very well located house in the small town of Cerc, in the Pyrenees of Lleida. The construction is the most common of the area: very thick stone walls, small windows and life inside is developed around the fireplace (the kitchen). The aim of the intervention is to free these contained spaces for so long to generate distant views of the valley and, in turn, flood all spaces with natural light, either from the façade or from a skylight on the north face. We create a double space in the hall area where we locate the new staircase and the skylight. The only window on the south façade is widened to connect with the forest in front. We generate distant views of the Urgellet valley by bitting the corner and we create an open space in the daily area, while we take advantage of the loft to locate the night area.
